Are you who you want to be?

Had my first Sunday at a church in Calgary today. There is one song in particular that we sung that prompted me to really reflect a little. A somewhat familiar song, I've heard numerous times with the phrase "This is your life, are you who you want to be?" That is a fairly loaded question. Am I who I want to be? And who exactly do I aspire to be? What characteristics or personality traits do I desire? I think that as a Christian we have been given a clear goal in this respect to aspire to be Christlike...and with this in response to the question, I fall so immeasurably short. What does it mean to be Christlike? What does this look like personality-wise?...patient. gracious. loving. faithful. compassionate. honest. forgiving. merciful...and so much more. And am I putting all I have got in pursuit of this - probably not as much as I should be or would like to be.
