Well it feels like its been a while since I have written, so for those few of you who still check in every now and then, here is a bit of whats been happening in my life...

I have finished up with most of my midterms already. I have wrote 5 already and just have radiopharmacy left to go next Friday. It was definitely an intense week and a half during those 5 exams...not much sleep happened, but starting to get used to that. I had a week of studying as soon as I got home until sometime between midnight and 1am and then I'd wake up at around 5am and start studying again until I had to be at school at 8am - not such a healthy routine, but the results were worth it. I have managed A's in all my classes except for one, mostly because it is boring and I hate studying for it. So yeah, this year is going so much better than university went last year, so feeling pretty good about that. Going into nuclear medicine, I was definitely pretty scared, thinking that it was going to be so hard and fearing failure, but it actually isn't as hard, concept-wise, as I thought it would be, but having said that it is a lot of work and really tiring. But in spite of that, I love it and can't wait to actually be working in the field. We've already start working with radioactivity and practicing our dose drawing with needles...won't actually get to practice injecting needles until after the new year though. Starting to feel a little unmotivated lately and hoping that i can somehow remotivate myself. Up until this weekend, I would try to get all my assignments and stuff for the week done on the weekend, so i wouldn't have to worry about it during the week, but I got absolutely nothing done this weekend. Really hoping that I can get back into it. I think everyone in my class is starting to feel a little worn out.

I am also loving playing basketball again. I signed up for intramurals, which turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment as only 16 people signed up, so teams weren't actually made and instead every week we just split into random teams and play a bunch of scrimmages, but it is still pretty fun. So yeah, I do that once a week. And for awhile I was playing every day at lunch with a guy in my class...haven't had a chance to lately, but hopefully will start again soon. It is pretty awesome! I was thinking today of maybe trying to start running again too.

And church is going well too. I've probably already mentioned that the church I go to is pretty huge, I think I heard that over the course of the weekend (they have 4 services every weekend) that over 5000 people attend. So with so many people, they also have tons of small groups. I have gotten involved with two of them. One of which is at a pastors house and is more of a Bible study after church every Sunday. The other is a little different - they don't really do Bible studies. Instead, they watch 'political' videos every week and talk about them afterwards. This past week we ventured out to the theatre to watch "the 11th hour" - kind of a documentary by Leonardo DiCaprio about global warming and the environment. It was really interesting. I also have been attending a weekly 20s group get together. It is a pretty big event and I'd say over 100 people usually show up to it. Trying to get involved as much as I can with the time that I have. It's been good. Having said all that though, I guess if you could pray for anything it would be that I would make more time for my personal time with the Lord. I have found that to be a huge struggle the past few months. Too often, well almost always, I place everything else before my time alone with Him thinking that I can do it later in the day, but when that time comes, I am ready to go to bed. So if you could pray for that, I would so appreciate it.

So I think that about sums up life for me at the moment. On the whole, it is good.
